Lar and Bridget Doyle were the Race Directors for tonight’s leg of the Donohoe Skoda Summer League which was held in Camross over a 7K course.  This time around, the race was ran in the opposite direction to previous years which made for a faster finish at the Camross Ballroom.  With a large number of members in the midst of marathon training, numbers were down on previous races but 50 runners started at 7.30 sharp in glorious sunshine.

Farmer Monaghan continued his clean sweep winning in a time of 24.49 and First Slaney Man home was Bryan Crouch in 26.06.  Also continuing her winning streak Emily O Connor was first lady in 30.09 and Kelly Long was the first Slaney lady across the line in 31.41.  Spot prize winners on the night were Declan O Brien and Mike Banville.

Lar and Bridget would like to thank all the marshalls and helpers who turned up to lend a hand.  Next race is the Ballindaggin 6k Race, next Friday 12th August, registration from 6.45 in Jordans Lounge.  Race starts at 7.30.  Race Directors Ciara Kearney & Emily O Connor.
