County Wexford Intermediate Cross Country

The County Wexford Intermediate Cross Country race was hosted by Kilmore AC on Sunday at Lingstown. For the Intermediate Ladies Race (4K), Slaney Olympic had two participants brave the elements: Greta Roberts-Tyrrell finished with a time of 22:35 and Annis Kehoe finished with a time of 24:23. 

The Intermediate Men’s Race (8K) saw Slaney Olympic bring home the Gold! Denis Whelan cruised in for the Intermediate title with a time of 31:27. He was followed by: John Foley (32:32 – 6^th); Dara Cloake (32:36 – 7^th); Billy Reck (33:12  – 9^th) and Will Doyle (33:31 – 11^th).

Waterford A.C. Half Marathon

On Saturday, nearly 2,800 runners took part in the Waterford A.C. Half Marathon. Slaney Olympic had 29 runners participate in the race: Paul Browne was the first Slaney man home with a time of 1:25 and Tracy Kavanagh was the first Slaney woman home with a time of 1:52.

Park Runs (Wexford and New Ross)

At Wexford, Annemarie Doyle finished her 29^th Park Run with a time of 24:56. New Ross, Andy Kehoe clocked a time of 36:09 for his 83^rd Park Run.

At New Ross, Andy Kehoe clocked a time of 37:04 for his 84^th Park Run.

Andy Staff will run his 100^th Park Run Saturday (21 December) at New Ross.  

Slaney Olympic Winter Time Trial Series

Slaney Olympic Club Members are encouraged to participate in the Winter Time Trial Series taking place on the following Tuesdays at 7.15 PM: 17/12/19 – 2k; 14/01/20 – 1 mile and 21/01/20 – 3k.
