The sun made an appearance just in time for the start of the inaugural Marshalstown 5k for the 4th race of the Donohoes Skoda Summer League.  A challenging course with more ups than down, but that didn’t appear to deter any of the 66 runners who started the race bang on 7.30.

Farmer Monaghan continued his winning ways in a time of 17.31 with Bobby Redmond first Slaney Man home in 17.57.  Emily O Connor also continued her winning streak finishing in 20.39 and the first Slaney Lady home was Kelly Long in 22.08.  Spot prize winners on the night were Louise Nolan Ryan and Pat Codd.

Many thanks to Race Directors Brian & Sarah Maher and her team of helpers for the great tea and spread afterwards.  Also to all the marshals,  Cengiz Celik for sponsoring the water at the finish line and to the Hollow Pub for use of the premises.

Next race is Friday night 5th August in Camross 7K  and Race Directors are Lar & Bridget Doyle.
