Dave Barron and our Masters mens teams covered themselves in glory at the County Masters Road Race Championships on Sunday

The County Wexford Masters Road Race Championships took place on Sunday on the Old Dublin Road in Enniscorthy. The overcast, cool morning with no significant wind made for good running conditions.

In the ladies race Jackie Carty of Kilmore took the early lead and ran out a comfortable winner in 10.50 on the 3K uphill course. Yvette Shovelin of St Killian’s was second in 13.14, just one second ahead of Helen Doyle of Kilmore.
