The masterly quartet of Ted Flannelly, Jim Stafford, Dave Barron and Padraig Moriarty excelled last Sunday at the All Ireland Masters Cross Country Championships winning Club Silver and County Bronze Medals.

The race was won by Peter Matthews of DSD in 27.19. Ted Flannelly finished a fantastic 9th in 29.20, Jim Stafford 20th (30.16), Dave Barron 28th (30.51) and Padraig Moriarty 33rd (31.06).

That performance  gave them second place in the club competition with a total of 90 points. North Laois were first with 64 points and Rathfarnham W.S.A.F third with 157 points.

The four lads along with Ger Moloney of St Pauls (21st in 30.17) and Eugene Doherty of SBR (92nd in 33.45) came third in the inter county competition. The result was :

1. Donegal  145    2. Dublin  171    3. Wexford  203

Overall it was a great achievement. Congratulations and well done to Ted, Jim, Dave and Padraig and to all the Wexford runners
