Kay completes her 100th!  Cooper first Wexford man home. Conaill, Padraig, Kevin and Farmer all well under 3 hours.Monday 25th October 2010 dawned bright and still if a bit on the chilly side, perfect conditions for running.  Along with our most experienced marathon runner, Kay, for whom it was a very special day competing in her 100th marathon, there were a number of club runners (Stephen McGannon, Malo Roban, Martina Conran, Moira Roberts and Danielle Kearns) tackling the distance for the first time and also those who had been there, done that on more than one occasion but were hoping for PBs. Well PBs we got a plenty with terrific runs throughout the field. Conaill, Padraig, Kevin, Farmer, Pat. Fergus and Paul and Mags all bettered their previous times…Maybe there were more but to date that is all we are aware of!

With Cooper being first man home for the county, Padraig second over 45 and Kay first over 70 winning gold in the Irish marathon Championship it was a great performance for the club. Teamwise our men’s team finished 7th overall, an impressive performance.
