Friday 16th April saw Slaney Olympic host another new event, The Ballycarney 5 Mile, to welcome in the Summer.
The race was open to members and non members alike. Kevin Murphy (SO) won the men’s race in 26.45 with Catherine Murphy (unattached) winning the ladies race. Afterwards all adjourned to the Ballycarney Inn for prizegiving, refreshments and chat. Many thanks to the owner and staff of the Ballycarney Inn for looking after everyone so well and also to all the marshals on the night.
